The challenge of "The Mission - Under the Wings of G_d and the Shadow of Amalek" is the creation of a dream. The D'or Collection Etchings expresses in line, shapes and colour, symbols and dynamic composition, the struggling of existence of the Jewish nation, physically and spiritually. The object is to focus on the historical events whose symbols escort us from the time we became a nation. A nation who struggles for existence in an ocean of hatred. Regardless of the spiritual and physical sufferings we rise and get stronger and never lose our spiritual roots. [ Movement and thematic development of composition is from right to left, as in Hebrew text. ]

In the twenty years it took to research, plan and finally execute the monumental painting of “The Mission”, Dubi Arie accomplished numerous sketches, drawings, including a limited edition collection [ 26 ] of one-of-a-kind hand painted etchings that would ultimately become the blueprint for the final painting.

Unique in scope and unrivalled in proportion, “The Mission” and the “D’or Collection Etchings” speak to the struggle of people of all ages, and religious persuasions and was created to remind us all, to end the aggression that leads to war and destruction between nations and stop the hate that divides the peoples of the world. It is Dubi Arie’s ardent hope that “The Mission” will impart deep feelings of unity to the Jewish people, and establish bridges of understanding between Jews and all of mankind.

As a final permanent home is being sought for “The Mission” globally, this multi-million dollar work of art will likely be out of reach for even the wealthiest of collectors and institutions. The release of the “D’or Collection Etchings” represents one the last opportunities for avid collectors to invest in and experience the passion and inspiration that was Dubi Arie’s unique vision.

"I believe, with all my heart, that my destiny was guided and continues to be guided by the power above, towards the biggest and most important challenge in my life -- the implementation of this creation. When I succeed in this holy mission I will know that there was a purpose for my life. I will know that the tests which I have faced were the preparation for this esteemed purpose."
